Photography by Gemma.Southworth ❤

Hi friends,

I decided to share a couple of portraits taken by my bestfriend ( GEMMA. SOUTHWORTH PHOTOGRAPHY). She is taking Photography as a course in university and is very talented and passionate on what she does. She is currently based in Manchester and Blackpool. So, if you ever need your photos taken for occasional purposes or If you need yourself a photoshoot, she's the best person to call. Here are some of her photos she took of me (African/traditional women theme):

--------------------❤---------------------

What also made the photography session fun was that she chose me to be the MUA for her other model too. Priya Svnsn (Link to her Facebook Page) is a part-time free lance model. She was perfect for the photoshoot theme that the photographer was looking for, which are to demonstrate bold and strong stances and features representing traditional women. She suits well in the dresses picked out for her to wear. Here is one of the photos taken from the shoot:

Summer Festival Fashion Look OOTD ❤

Hi friends, I put up a clothing look in which is perfect for that summer fun vibe. It is simple yet inexpensive. All details about this look will be in my LookBook such as where I got such top and shorts from as well as the links where you can buy it. It is definitely a festival to casual day friendly look.

I love how this top accentuates my collar bones as well as the colour of my hair which is this ashy blonde. The cut out on the back of this top is so beautiful, it is actually one of the reasons why I bought this top. Since the front is so simple but behind is just unbelievably breathtaking. The shorts are one of my staples in my wardrobe, perfect for those sunny days. Another perfect point about this outfit too is that it suits any accessories and shoes you want to wear however, do avoid wearing pointed heels as it drags the look a bit. I suggest flats, high-to-short length boots, wedges or gladiator shoes.

haha my dog.

Hair rescue dye. ❤

As you can see, I have been experiencing more than five colours (red, brown, blonde, ashy blonde, strawberry blonde, dark orange, maroon, black, yellow) in my hair. This is how it looks like mostly in all patches.. Un-evenness, brassiness, dryness. EEK! ikr. It has made me so insecure about myself since it looks so bad. Therefore, I needed a hair dye rescue! First, I lightened my hair with Garnier's lightener on my roots to lift my base which is an exact 1 or 2 to at least a 6 or 7. Obviously, it turned ginger, i expected that since it is the only certain thing that would actually happen after dying dark hair to light. After a few hours, of developing and stuff like that; I washed it off and air-dried. Whilst, my hair is about somewhat dry; i prepared the second part; which is dying my base (roots) to a dark ashy brown colour. After so, I spread it from the root to the end of each strand. The smell was so strong that it left my eyes stinging and watering; Alistair even had to go out the bedroom because it was that strong. However, I just needed it done.

I loved the outcome and for now; before I lighten the end of my hair again to blonde; I will need to give my hair a rest for at least a day; without washing, any heat products or dying. This will help me retain the oils; I have lost from lightening and dying my hair.
